Low Carb + Low Cal 4th of July Cocktails

There are so many things to love and celebrate during the upcoming holiday! Fireworks, Freedom and of course Friends & Family. But with all that fun in the sun… it’s easy to rack up the calories and carbs! So, here are 3 Low Carb Cocktails to Help You Celebrate 4th of July and Stay on Track With Your Nutrition Goals!


Low Carb Sangria

Servings 6

Ingredients

1 cup fresh sliced strawberries

1/2 cup fresh blueberries

1/2 cup fresh raspberries

1 bottle white (sav blanc, pinot grigio or champagne) or red (pinot, merlot or cab sav) wine

3/4 cup rum

24 oz (2 cans) flavored sparkling water (lime, grapefruit, peach or mango are great options)

Recipe Steps

  1. Combine ingredients into a large pitcher in the order listed and stir well.

  2. Chill for at least 30 minutes before serving for the best flavor. 

  3. Pour over ice & enjoy!


Blueberry Mint Fizz

Servings 2

Ingredients

3 oz blueberry flavored vodka

5 oz club soda

10 - 16 mint leaves

blueberries

st-germain liqueur

Recipe Steps

  1. Place mint leaves and 10 or so blueberries in a cocktail shaker and muddle.

  2. Add ice, vodka, and club soda.

  3. Shake vigorously.

  4. Pour over ice & add St Germain to taste.

  5. Garnish with additional blueberries & Enjoy!


Skinny Margarita 

Servings 2

Main Ingredients

3 oz silver tequila

2 oz fresh lime juice

1/2 tsp orange extract

1 tbsp powdered swerve sweetener (optional)

crushed ice

sea salt for rimming (optional)

Recipe Steps

  1. In a cocktail shaker or measuring cup, combine tequila, lime juice, orange extract & sweetener.

  2. For salted rims, run a wedge of lime around the outside of the glass and dip in a plate of sea salt.

  3. Fill two glasses (margarita or old fashioned) halfway with crushed ice.

  4. Divide mixture evenly between the glasses.

  5. Serve & enjoy!
